Melody Charles, RDN, PA-C
Melody Charles RDN, PA-C joined Greater Atlanta Women’s Healthcare in 2021. A native of Miami, Florida, Ms. Charles, a board-certified Physician Associate (PA-C) received her PA degree from Emory University School of Medicine's physician associate program.
Ms. Charles earned her bachelor's degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida and is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She furthered her medical education with the completion of a twelve-month postgraduate residency in primary care at the Atlanta VA Medical Center for the US Department of Veteran Affairs.
Ms. Charles is committed to supporting women through all stages of life and feels that women's unique healthcare needs should be prioritized in a safe space. As a women's healthcare provider, she strives to help close the disparity gap in health outcomes by empowering women through health education and shared decision making.
Ms. Charles has received many accolades and is a member of several professional organizations. She is a member of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Association of PAs in OB/GYN. While attending Emory University, she received an award for excellence in medical writing, for her masters' thesis on 'Healthcare Interventions to Reduce Disparities in Maternal Mortality'.
Ms. Charles has a genuine love for music, dancing, trying new cuisine, spending time with family, and anything that involves being by the beach or in nature. She is an extraordinary addition to our medical practice and is accepting new patients.
