Nwaozichi Onyeije, RN, CNM
Nwaozichi (Chichi) Onyeije joined Greater Atlanta Women’s Healthcare in 2015. She began her medical education in Nigeria, graduating as a registered nurse in 1990 and nurse-midwife in 1993.
Mrs. Onyeije continued her education in the United States and graduated as a nurse-midwife (CNM) from the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, New Jersey in 1998. In 2012 she became a certified lactation counselor and completed a master’s degree in nursing from Philadelphia University in 2015.
As a certified nurse-midwife (CNM), she is passionate about health education and health promotion and believes it is better to promote health than to manage disease.
Mrs. Onyeije has taught sex education classes to middle and high school students in Nigeria, New York City, and Atlanta, Georgia. She has served as a member of the local Health and Temperance department of her church in New York City and Atlanta.
Mrs. Onyeije lives in Alpharetta, Georgia with her husband, Chuck, and 3 sons, Obinna, Nnamdi, and Chidi. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and cooking.
